Charity Auctions/Sports Memorabilia night.

A sports memorabilia auction is a very successful and fun way for your organisation to raise much needed funds.

How does it work?

We supply all the items at no cost to you.

You decide on what type of memorabilia you would prefer and what price range.

Sportspics sets a nominal reserve price on each item (this is the set price we receive and the item cannot be sold under this reserve figure).

Every dollar bid over each reserve price goes directly to your organisation.

If the item does not make reserve it is passed in and there is absolutely no obligation to your organisation to pay any money for the item.

Auctioneer. We can supply an auctioneer for a fee or you can supply your own.

What do you need to organise?

Below are some suggestions only. Remember the more people that attend the more money your organisation can make.

Venue. We recommend somewhere with a ready made crowd so that you can get the full benefit.

Guest speaker (this is a great way of getting people to come to the auction).

Advertising for the auction (flyers, newspaper articles/advertising, posters).

Choose a date for the auction (Sportspics will need to confirm if the date is available).

What is a silent Auction?

A silent auction can be run in conjuction with your main auction. It is where some smaller items (usually not as expensive) are on display throughout the night. The guests get to walk around and look at these items and make bids on them by way of writing down their price on a piece of paper. These have a set closing time and the highest bidder at the time of closing wins the item.
